Kunsthalle der Hypo-Kulturstiftung

With around 350,000 visitors every year, the Kunsthalle der Hypo-Kulturstiftung (in short: Kunsthalle München) is one of Germany’s most prestigious exhibition houses. Located at the heart of Munich, the Kunsthalle stages three large exhibitions a year on a variety of themes. The Kunsthalle München’s diverse programme alternates monographic exhibitions with thematic projects, yet also includes interdisciplinary concepts.

Museum Brandhorst

Museum Brandhorst is located in the heart of Munich’s Kunstareal, one of Germany’s most popular cultural destinations. The museum presents the collection of Udo and Anette Brandhorst, which was made accessible to the public in 2009 as a part of the Bavarian State Painting Collections. Museum Brandhorst offers a multifaceted overview of art from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries and thereby houses one of the most exceptional collections of contemporary art in Germany.

The museum will be open to conference guests for the evening event on Thursday, 26 February 2026, from 7 p.m. onwards. Guided tours of the exhibition will be offered from 8 p.m. onwards.

Bayerisches Nationalmuseum

The Bayerisches Nationalmuseum on the Prinzregentenstrasse in Munich is one of the largest museums in Germany. It displays exceptional art from late antiquity up to art nouveau as well as a unique take on European cultural history in Bavaria. Apart from the considerable permanent collections the museum also displays regular studio exhibitions as well as special exhibitions with prestigious loaned works.

The scientific team of the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum offer our conference guests insights into all areas of the museum’s collection with numerous on-site appointments (Ortstermine, Wednesday, 25 February 2026 / Saturday, 28 February 2026).

Museum für Abgüsse Klassischer Bildwerke München

The Museum of Casts of Classical Sculptures displays faithful reproductions of sculptures from Greek and Roman antiquity. The collection focuses on Hellenistic sculpture from the time of Alexander the Great and Roman portraiture. Around 200 permanent loans from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York complement the collection with valuable casts from the 19th century.

The Museum of Casts of Classical Sculptures is located in the House of Cultural Institutes together with the Central Institute for Art History and is open to the public free of charge (Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.).
